Apparently this standard Always Online Feminist complaining is what makes Barbie "extremely sophisticated." I read this on Jezebel. And also Teen Vogue. And also on Amanda Marcotte's blog. And on every other feminist blog. Feminists believe that women are in the unique position of being expected to excel, and being disappointed and ashamed when they don't. Ask the thousands of Japanese suicidal males about that.
The movie that really got snubbed is Godzilla: Year Zero. It did not get a nomination for best international release, nor even for sound editing/sound design (which is a clear deliberate snub). The WDW_Pro group agreed this is a case of Hollywood knowing they are in trouble and attempting to hedge out foreign competition.
