Friends of mine assure me that country clubs are quite Trumpy and based. So maybe Ted Cruz's wording isn't very accurate. But I do get the dispute: Baseball Cvck wants the GOP to be in control of liberal-leaning urban professionals -- Acela Corridor Yuppies -- just as it has been for 30 years, and he resents that his small social class (which is 85% on the hard left, by the way, so they're always trying to appease their leftwing wives and side-pieces) doesn't get to control a party that it no longer has anything in common with.
As someone said, you cannot lead a country you've never even visited.
