Letter from The Saint Creator/Author Leslie Charteris to the Producers of the Saint TV Show
The letter starts around 2:10... he's not a fan. I don't suppose this is actually politics, but he's very annoyed that the Saint in the TV show is never allowed to profit from his adventures, even legitimately. Probably some BBC thing that "money is bad." In British TV, even the professional thieves aren't permitted a profit.
