Lou Dobbs Eyeing 2012 Presidential Run; Even Looking to Mend Fences with Latinos
Rich Lowry (IRC) had an interesting anecdote about his brief consideration of the somewhat-daft idea of running for Mayor of New York. A woman in his apartment building asked if he would keep rents stabilized, something important to her, but of course a bad policy. Lowry began talking up the need to keep rents stabilized. He decided he couldn't run for office, since he had already began pandering and shifting his positions before he had even decided he'd run at all. Politics, as they say, makes whores of us all.
