Mystery of the Two Japanese Men Arrested With $134 Billion of US Bearer Bonds...Solved?
Back in early June two Japanese businessmen were arrested attempting to smuggle US Treasury bearer bonds worth $134 billion dollars into Switzerland. However it now appears that the bonds are fake since the denominations used did not exist in 1932, and the current total of unredeemed US bearer bonds is only $100 million dollars. Note that this does not include the missing Nakatomi bonds. [Maet]
