Carlos The Jackal In Court For Defending Terrorism
Defending terrorism is illegal in France but so, alas, is the death penalty. Cute quote: "Victims of terrorism are never innocent."
I thought Carlos the Jackal was dead. Now you're telling me he's a free man living in France?
Whoa.
Posted by: See-Dubya at March 1, 2006 01:38 AMDead, heck I thought he was fictional? You mean someone actually is called carlos the Jackal. I thought any name that cheezy had to be fictional. Oh and I guess that in France terrorism isnt a crime but does carry a very hefty fine, sort of like murder in California.
Posted by: Jones at March 1, 2006 10:04 AMI thought Carlos the Chubby was convicted years ago. I forgot what country he was arrested in but it was when he went in for liposuction.
He's currently serving a life sentence. What that means in France, beats me. If it's like the other euroweenie countries, it's probably 15 years.
