Modern-day unions are quickly squandering the moral authority they once held. Last week, my job took me to a couple of rural campuses in our university system. At both campuses, a union member stood up during the Q&A time and subjected the head of the university system to a spittle-flecked rant.
Every year, the faculty unions here think their agitating will cause the people of this state to rise up and support their cause. Every year, they are wrong. Why? Well, the average person in this state earns around $35-40,000 a year. The average faculty member earns $60,000.
Poor, downtrodden bastards.
